Rural Impact Hub to Host Virtual Forum for District 1 Legislative Candidates on March 30

The Rural Impact Hub in Auburn will host a legislative virtual forum for the candidates running for Legislature in Nebraska’s District 1 beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 30.

Due to gathering restrictions imposed by the State of Nebraska to limit the spread of coronavirus COVID-19, the event will now be held in an online webinar format. Guests are invited to submit questions and register for the event. Guests who had previously RSVP’d will be automatically added to the webinar.

All three District 1 legislative candidates have confirmed their attendance: Dennis Schaardt (Table Rock), Janet Palmtag (Nebraska City) and Senator Julie Slama (Peru). The forum, moderated by Southeast Nebraska native Dwight “Doc” Wininger, will give each candidate an opportunity to discuss his or her position on issues relevant to rural Nebraskans – and, specifically, District 1 constituents.
